Course outline:

Financial Regulations are a statutory requirement. Member councils can tailor the NALC model document to meet the needs of your council and to set out your own rules for how you manage your finances. This session will go through what is statutory and the sections where councils can decide for themselves. Financial Regulations should be reviewed every year and then will form the basis of your internal controls to ensure that public finances are protected accordingly.
