Pay Award for local council staff agreed - October 2024

Dear colleagues

We have now received details of the Local Government Services Pay Agreement for 2024/25 and have confirmed the payscales.

This will be distributed via the NALC bulletin Thursday morning but we are also publishing the scales here.

If you have any queries about the application of these scales, please contact LRALC, but for the majority of clerks they are contractual, and will be backdated to April 1st, which is when they are effective from.

For most councils this will mean the November payroll will include the back pay, as well as applying the the new rates to the November salaries.
